Congratulations to all the artists at the Grammys yesterday! It’s always amazing to see such a collection of talent. Congratulations especially to Gary Burton and Chick Corea for Best Improvised Jazz Solo and to the Pat Matheny Unity Band for Best Jazz Instrumental Album!
I am feeling a lot better today. This flu was no joke. I am trudging along at work and am strengthened by some of my patients’ smiles and statements that they now have a quality of life. It is such a blessing when you know that you can positively impact the life of another. What joy!

I am recovering from the flu (yes, physicians do get ill too) and have not been practicing my horn for a while. Boy, can I tell that I have been out of the woodshed. Getting my wind back is a challenge, but I know that I will get there soon. I am feeling a bit rusty today.
